Last week was generosity week and we set ourselves a challenge to show an act of generosity everyday. Here are some of 3L sharing their acts of generosity.
We made links with this in R.E and all thought of one thing we will do within the next week to look after God’s creation. This included litter picking, recycling and walking or cycling to school. As part of this, we are also asking every member of 3L to bring in a recycled piece of material which we will be using as part of our Art’s Fortnight up until the end of term.
Excitingly, on Wednesday we went out foraging just like Stone Age people and gathered sticks, rocks, flint and vine to construct our very own Stone Age tools! We carefully designed, evaluated and amended. This was definitely a challenge and the children experienced first-hand the struggles that our ancestors would have faced trying to hunt animals to survive. Well done for being so resourceful and resilient 3L!
In Art, we discovered cave paintings were a form of communication and used to tell stories about hunting. We had a go ourselves using charcoal and clay for paint!
With Ms Whiteley’s return we had our weekly library visit and voted for our school council representative. Congratulations Sara, well done! What a lovely testimonial you had!
My learner of the week this week is Noah WH for working so hard in maths and planning imaginative stories in writing. Not only has he impressed me, but he has impressed Miss Smith on her return to school. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our class and making us smile and giggle daily, keep up the good work!
Well done to Suraiya for her attendance certificate from Mrs Price, Maryam, Haset and Eseohe for being our TT Rockstars, Lily for being our home reading champion and the first to take home our reading box! Lastly, Christian, Ahmed and Lana were our Lexia Legends! Lots to celebrate, congratulations to you all.
