#onekindword

This week was anti bullying week with the theme #onekindword. We discussed the definition and terms of bullying, bystanders, victims and bullies in PSHE. We then made posters for our picket that we held on Thursday.

This week was also special because of Children in Need which we dressed up to raise money for on Friday. I was blown away with the generosity given to this special cause.

After learning about Anti-Bullying and Children in Need this week we ended it with a circle time on Friday reflecting on what we learnt, our thoughts and feelings around these.

In Reading, we learnt the poem ‘Didgeridoo’ off by heart using a text map which you can see below.

My learner of the week this week is Joshuah for really impressing me with his willingness to make the right choice. He has made more of an effort to manage his behaviour and his distractions from others which has shown an increase in his focus and determination to get his learning done. Not only has there been an improvement in the classroom but myself and other staff members have noticed Joshuah showing respect to others when walking around school, particularly in the line. Well done, Joshuah, keep up the good work!

Our home reading champion was Ahmed and TT Rockstar Lily this week. Well done to you both!

Our Lexia Legends were Haset, Eseohe and Olivia. Congratulations!
